    One hardcore Naxal surrender before Gaya police and CRPF in Gaya.

    GAYA: Two Hardcore Naxali surrender before Gaya police and CRPF, 159 battalion here on Thursday at CRPF camp in Gaya. The  hardcore Naxal collectively carrying a reward of Rs 15 lakh on his head and allegedly involved in atleast 21 incidents of violence in Gaya,Aurangabad and other states - has surrendered before Gaya district SSP Ashish Bharti and CRPF 159 battalion Cammandant Kumar Mayank, police said on Thursday.

    Hardcore Naxali Abhayash Bhuiyan alias Prem Bhuiyan, (34), son of Kail Bhuiyan, a resident of Banshi village under Pratap-pur police station in Chatra district in Jharkhand, turned him selves in before the Senior Superintendent of Police Ashish Bharti and CRPF Cammandant Kumar Mayank here on Thrusday at CRPF camp premises in Gaya, the police said in a release. 

    The release said the Jharkhand government had announced a reward of Rs 15 lakh for his capture on his head. Abhayash Bhuiyan  joined Naxalism in the years of 2003  and later worked as a area commander of Maoists, the police said.

    The release said nearly a twenty one criminal offenses had been registered against him, including those related to murders, encounters, and robbery and other naxal violence in Latua, Dumaria and Imaamganj. He laid severa ambushes in different places in Bihar's Gaya and Jharkhand against security forces and was also involved in multiple meetings in Jharkhand and Bihar, the release stated.

    Mistreatment of Bhuiyan by senior Maoists, discrimination between senior and junior cadres in providing basic facilities, challenging life in forests, the potential threat from wild beasts and security forces, and attractive terms of the Bihar government's surrender policy and sentimental attachments with family was  among the reasons cited by the Abhayash for giving up the path of violence, the release said. 

    The release quoted SSP Bharti saying that all necessary assistance will be provided to ultra, who is willing to give up arms and join the national mainstream.

    After dedication, Abhyas Bhuiya alias Prem Bhuiya said that while living in the organization, he started feeling that this path is not right and life is at stake all the time here, secondly family attachment, somewhere or the other forced me to leave the organization. At the same time, he appealed to his colleagues through the media to leave such work and start a new life once again.

    Senior Superintendent of Police Ashish Bharti said that success has been achieved only in the joint operation of Bihar Police and CRPF.  We are going among the common people. Propaganda is being spread in the rural areas for dedication.

    Senior Superintendent of Police Ashish Bharti also told that a large quantity of IED explosives along with thousands of live cartridges including LMG 3 rifles kept hidden by Naxalites were recovered late Tuesday evening from Shikarikua forest of Dumariya block.
