    GAYA: Everyday bribe takers are being arrested in Bihar but people are not deterring from their habits as if they have no fear of law. This is the reason why they are getting arrest by the Vigilance while taking bribe red handed. The latest case is from Bihar's Gaya district where the Anti- Corruption Bureau has arrested a 50-year-old Block Education Extension Officer ( BEEO), Sanjeev Kumar allegedly taking bribe of Rs 50K from a school teacher here in Gaya's Tekari, from Headmaster of Chaita middle school,Tekari here on Tuesday, the The Vigilance Investigation Bureau said on Tuesday.
    The accused, Sanjeev Kumar, had demanded huge amount from the headmaster Jitendra Kumar for not enquiring his school building at a school in Tekari's Chaita. Later, the deal was finalised at Rs 50,000, said Vigilance sources.
    The aggrieved teacher lodged a complaint with the Vigilance officials, Patna which caught the accused while accepting the bribe amount of Rs 50,000 on Tuesday, the official said.
    Sources said thst the team that came from Vigilance Investigation Bureau Headquarters, Patna caught Block Education Extension Officer Sanjay Kumar taking bribe from the office room at Block Resource Center Tikari. 
    In fact, on January 30, 2023, Jitendra Kumar, the headmaster in-charge of Chaita Middle School, Tikari, had lodged a complaint under Vigilance that Tikar's Block Education Extension Officer Sanjeev Kumar had demanding bribe for not inspecting the school building repeatedly and allowing the construction work of the school to be done, added sources. 
    The Vigilance team which reached Gaya from Patna to verify the allegation of the victim Jitendra Kumar formed a raid under the leadership of Deputy Superintendent of Police Gautam Krishna. 
    After which the BEEO of Tikari was arrested red- handed while accepting a bribe of fifty thousand rupees.The Vigilance team has left for Patna with BEEO and probably BEEO, Sanjeev will now be produced in the court.
    In Bihar's Gaya, the bribery block education extension officer has been arrested by the surveillance team. The surveillance team arrested red- handed with cash worth Rs 50,000 as bribe.  
    The arrested BEEO was posted in Tikari block of Gaya district.
     
    According to the information received from the sources, bribe was being demanded from a teacher by the Block Education Officer regarding a matter. The aggrieved teacher complained about this to the Patna Vigilance. In the light of the complaint, the monitoring team verified it and then reached Gaya's Tikari to take action on Tuesday. Meanwhile, while taking action, the monitoring team has arrested Tikari block education officer Sanjeev Kumar with a bribe of Rs 50,000.
     
    According to the information received, the bribe amount of 50 thousand was in a yellow envelope and as soon as this money was given to the block education extension officer by a teacher, at the same time the team of the monitoring department arrested him red- handed.
    This action was taken by the Monitoring Department in Tikari BRC at around 11 am on Tuesday, when the Block Education Dissemination Officer had reached to participate in the Guru Goshthi held every month and within a short time the Block Education Officer was caught.
    According to the information received, Tikari's Block Education Extension Officer Sanjeev Kumar was also associated with networking and safe shop and forcibly added teachers to the Networking for Safe Shop run through the channel system and then blackmailed all those teachers.
