Woman constable commits suicide in Gaya

GAYA(Bihar): A 24-year-old woman constable committed suicide by hanging from a ceiling fan in rented room near Panchaitiya Akhara under Kotwali police station, City SP Ashok Prasad said on Monday.
According to the Gaya City SP, the woman identified as 22-year old Anshu Kumari was posted at Gaya Police Force-112, Gaya.She was native from Haspura in Aurangabad.
Presently she was living on rent a room on the third floor of a private house located in Panchayati Akhara Mohalla. Along with this two more girls were living in different rooms on this floor.
Landlord Sanjay Kumar told that she was living on rent for the last 3 months. She had slept in her room after doing duty at night. When the room was not opened till late in the morning, the fellow constable girl peeped through the window of the room and saw that she was hanging from the fan with a red scarf around her neck.
Acting on the information, Kotwali police reached the spot. They knocked on the door several times but it was locked from inside.
When the door did not open, the police broke the door. As soon as they entered the house, they found that she was hanging from the ceiling fan. They immediately took her down and rushed to a nearby hospital where doctors declared her dead.
The police said that no suicide note was recovered from the spot and in the preliminary investigation no any evidences were found from the spot.
On getting the information about the incident, senior officials of Gaya police, and FSL team reached the spot. The police established a case and started further investigation into the matter by collecting information from the staff members.
At the same time, the information about the suicide of the Anshu has also been given to the family members.
