GAYA(Bihar): Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman reached Gaya for the first time this morning along with her family members and performed pindadan and tarpan at Devghat for the peace of the souls of her ancestors.
After Pinddaan which lasted for about 20 minutes, she performed tarpan in Falgu river and after some time she went to Vishnupad temple and offered prayers with her family members here on Friday,s morning.
During this, the entry of common people and media personnel was completely banned.
Sources said that the Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman reached at Gaya Circuit House late yesterday evening where BJP workers welcomed her, today she performed pindadan and tarpan near Vishnupad and worshiped at Vishnupad temple, after that she went to Bodh Gaya Mahabodhi temple and visited Lord Buddha and she will be worship.
Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman is on Bihar tour these days. Where the Finance Minister will participate in many programmes in Gaya district today.
The visit of the Finance Minister to Gaya is believed to be very busy and she will stay here late in the evening then she will move for Varanasi.
Sources said that after "Pindadan", Nirmala Sitharaman will hold a meeting with party leaders at Circuit House. After which she will leave for Varanasi at 10:35 PM. Then after reaching Varanasi at 11:20 PM, will rest there. It is noteworthy that the Finance Minister is present in Gaya since the evening of 1st December.
