The dead body of police constable found near Diggi pond in Gaya, the police engaged an investigation

GAYA(Bihar): The body of police constable has been recovered by Civil line police, who was posted in the Gaya police line itself here on Sunday. The cause of death could not be clarified. Many apprehensions are being expressed regarding the death.  

On Sunday, there was a sensation among the people after seeing the dead body near Diggi Talab under Civil Line Police Station.  After this the information of the matter was given to the police of Civil line police station. While the deceased policeman was a resident at Tehta area in Jehanabad district.  

According to the Civil Line Police, information was received from the people on Sunday around 10 am that the body of a person is lying near Digghi Talab. When the police reached the spot after an information, he was identified as Sanjeev Kumar and was posted in Gaya police line itself and a resident of Tehta area in Jehanabad.

The Civil Line Police has recovered the body and sent it to Magadh Medical College Hospital for post-mortem.  There is panic among the people after the body of the constable was found.  It is not yet clear how the constable died.  

According to the local people, only on the late evening of Saturday, people had seen a person lying on the bank of the pond in an unconscious condition.

 Considering him to be asleep, people did not inform the police on Saturday.  At the same time, when the person remained in the same condition on Sunday, people got apprehensive.  When he went closer, he found that he was dead. After that information was given to the police of Civil line station.

In the same sequence, Civil line police station officer Abdul Ghaffar said that the cause of death could not be clarified.  There is no visible injury on his body and the cause of death will be clearly revealed only from the post- mortem report. The cause of death will be revealed soon.
