Special Lecture on Fintech and future of finance – Research Opportunities

GAYA(Bihar): The Department of Commerce and Business Studies of the Central University of South Bihar (CUSB) organized an online lecture session on the topic “Fintech and future of finance – Research Opportunities”. 

CUSB Public Relation Officer (PRO) Md. Mudassir Alam said that the lecture session was conducted under the guidance of CUSB Vice Chancellor Prof. Kameshwar Nath Singh. The lecture session was intended to make the scholars understand fintech and future of finance. 

The session was joined by over 100 participants from different parts of the country including the faculty members and students of CUSB.  

The session started with a welcome note given by the Head and Dean of the department Prof. (Dr.) Brajesh Kumar. Widisha, Research Scholar moderated the session followed by an introduction of the resource person by Ms. Milan. 

As the resource person, Dr. S. Kumar Chandar, School of Business and Management, Christ University, Bangalore said Fintech is a technology that helps facilitate retail financial services in a new way. The resource person also highlighted the difference between Fintech and TechFin. 

He also did a detailed discussion on TechFin and how it is different from Fintech. Dr. Chandar also had discussions regarding the Evolution of Banking, the Evolution of finance and the transition & Evolution of Finance Technology. The main speaker also introduced various websites through which scholars can get research papers and secondary data regarding banking.

The event concluded with a Vote of thanks proposed by the event coordinator, Dr. Subramanian Shanmugam, in the presence of all the faculty members of the department, Dr. Rachana Vishwakarma, Miss Renu, Dr. Pradip Ram and Dr. Pawas Kumar. Simran,  Shweta, Suraj and Shubham helped with technical support and the successful completion of the session.
