GAYA: Gaya Mahila police station organised a day long seminar on topic of “Women Empowerment”at +2 Ramna Kanaya High School here on Thrusday.
This seminar had a great interactive session where students of the school asked as many question as they could in order to get more aware about the rules and help provided by the police.
On this occasion Officer in Charge Ravi Ranjana Kumari, School principal, teachers and other police designator arrived on this seminar. While the school principal Saroj Kumari welcomed the guest with a flower bouquet.
While talking to the "News Root" Gaya SSP Ashish Bharti said in order to help empowering women we have to make them free from social and society pressure. Let them grow ,let them think let them figure out their life on their own only then our women will get empowered. We have to honour their presence and hardwork. A country can only move forward when the women living there are strong, independent and empowered. Many steps has been initiated by the government but it is the women who has fight for her own right only then she can get empowered,added SSP.
While addressing the teachers and girl students, Ravi Ranjana Kumari said that these days crime rate towards women is on a continuous increase. Cases of gang rape ashames the whole country’s face. Women living especially in big cities have to stay alert for their safety while working hard for their job. Rules and laws are made for safety of women, they should strongly be implemented and more strict laws should also be reproduced.
Moreover if there are good relation between citizens and police, their shall be less crimes against women,added Ravi Ranjana.
She also shared her views on topic of Empowerment by saying that in order to empower women one should have to change her character and let women shine in their work.After this she answered the questions of the students for their quires.
On this occasion, Sangeeta of Aarti Kumari Women's Help Desk of One Stop Center were informed about their ideas for empowering women and adolescent girls. School teacher Namita Verma started the programme with her thoughts and the program was concluded by Principal Saroj Kumari.
