    Midnight terror in Loco Colony as 6 rounds fired in Durga puja pandal in Gaya

    GAYA(Bihar): Delha police have stepped up vigil and started combing operations in loco Colony within  their jurisdiction in Gaya where utter lawlessness prevailed on Tuesday night as violent clashes broke out between members of a miscreant gang and local residents, said SSP Harpreet Kaur. 

    Till now no one has come to Delha police station even to do FIR, although I have ordered the SHO to investigate it thoroughly and take appropriate action,added SSP.

    Sources said that the entire loco colony thundered with gun shots as miscreants opened at least 6 rounds from country-made weapons and attacked local youth and other with sharp weapons,around midnight at 11:30 pm


    Local sources said that on Tuesday night, unidentified criminals fired half a dozen rounds and spread panic near Durga Mandir in Loco Colony within  limits of Delha police station area of ​​Gaya city.  

    Sources confirmed that at about 11pm on Tuesday here "prasad" was being distributed after the rituals organized on the occasion of Durga Puja. The people living here informed the police by dialing the number 112, who reached the spot and reported that a live cartridge was recovered from spot.


    As soon as the information was received, the Delha police in charge Baban Baitha reached the Loco colony after getting information from the people living here about the incident, started raids in search of criminals. 


    Till the writing of this news, it has been told that no arrest has been made in this case.  Local people told that like every year after the worship, the programme of distribution of prasad was going on near Durga temple at Panchmuhani.


    Meanwhile, 4-5 unknown miscreants first fired one or two shots.  When the younger brother of a retired railway worker who lived here, was prevented from doing so, he opened fire for the second time targeting him, but misfired. After this a criminal was caught.


    While three men of them managed to escape.  After raising the noise, a large number of other people also gathered. It was told that as soon as the information about the incident of being caught, many more miscreants of the gang came and fired several rounds with a view to free their caught criminal and spread panic and rescued the partner.


    Locals said that the police have recovered one live cartridge from the spot.  It is said that the slippers of some of the people involved in the incident were left around the spot.  After this incident, there is a fear among the local people that the retired railway worker whose boy and others have had a scuffle between people of criminal nature, may also carry out some incident again.  


    Local people said that after getting information about the firing, the Inspector-in-Charge Baban Baithha, who reached the spot, has started investigation into the incident.
