    Gaya railway station: RPF arrests one youth for mobile thefts from sleeper class of Express train

    Gaya(Bihar): The Gaya Railway Protection Force (RPF) arrested one person who allegedly stole mobile phones from commuters on Wednesday. The duo would usually target the sleeper class from Express train during travelling in trains.

    The accused– identified as Dharmendra Kumar son of Viswanath Yadav a resident of Buniyadganj in Manpur area in Gaya district – has admitted to being involved in mobile theft, RPF Sub Inspector Javed  suspect he may has been involved in many other cases of theft of mobiles and other items from Express or passager train, added SI Javed of RPF Gaya.

    During questioning,and on search of the person on suspicion, a blue colored Android mobile of Vivo company was recovered, on asking strictly about it, he accepted his crime and told that the above mobile was taken from the sleeper bogie of train number 12323 Howrah Barmer Express.

    When a call came on the said mobile, on receiving it, on asking the caller, his named  as Saheb Patra and told that he was traveling in the said train and on further inquiry told that he had put his mobile on his seat. When I woke up I could not find the mobile.  Thereafter, on the written application of ASI Sanoj Kumar, RPF Post Gaya, the said arrested person was registered by GRP Gaya under section 414/22 dated 19.10.2022 under section 414 IPC.
