    Gaya SSP reached the spot and took stock of the incident of burning a woman alive in Gaya

    Gaya(Bihar): Gaya SSP  Harpreet Kaur visited the Maigra incident site today to take stock of the unfortunate incident that erupted November 5, where a middle aged woman was burnt alive on Saturday afternoon on the allegation of a witch at Pachmah village under the Maigra police station within the Dumaria block of Gaya district. 


    On the fifth day of the incident, SSP Harpreet Kaur, who went to the village on Wednesday, reached the house of the deceased Hemanti Devi and took stock of the incident.


    After which the family members of the deceased Hemanti Devi, they given information about the whole incident which happened on Saturday. In which 58 persons were made named accuded in the case.


    While deciding in the said case, the names of three innocent persons were removed from the FIR of that case. All three name was removed as innocent at the behest of the relatives of the deceased.


    At the same time, before the SSP talked to the families of the victims. She also visited the house where the woman was burnt alive by the mob accusing her of witchcraft. She also taking stock of the incident in that house, conducting a condensation check at every single point, gathered evidence and took it with him.


    While talking to media  persons during her visit, SSP Harpreet Kaur said that investigation is being on at every single point in this incident. 


    In relation to this incident, the husband of the deceased woman had given a written application to the Magra police station on October 28, if the police had taken it seriously at that time, perhaps this incident could have been averted. The relatives of the deceased gave this information to the SSP.


    Along with this, the negligence of the incident has also come to the fore by the Maigra police station, however, action will be taken against the guilty policemen who did the negligent.


    Senior Superintendent of Police Harpreet Kaur while talking to Media said that if even the slightest negligence of Magra Police will not be tolerated.


    The names of some public representatives and some local leaders are also coming out behind this incident. Those who are involved in this incident are being identified and further action is being taken. 


    After an investigation, further action will be taken.
