Gang of vehicle lifters busted, four held with stolen bikes in Gaya

GAYA(Bihar): The Gaya police busted a gang of vehicle lifters and arrested four of its members with three stolen bikes and one Auto on Wednesday night. Other members of the gang are still at large and efforts are underway to arrest them also, said SSP Harpreet Kaur said.
SSP Harpreet Kaur said four suspects with motorcycle tried to flee from Hindalay field during a routing checking drive being undertaken by Delha police under its Inspector cum Offer-in-Charge Baban Baithha on Thursday evening.
In a panic, they fell from the bikes and were nabbed by policemen. The suspects failed to produce the documents of the motorcycles following which they were detained on suspicion. During questioning, the suspects confessed to having stolen the motorcycle, added SSP said.
On their confession, the police team recovered two stolen motorcycles included Bullet from their hideouts. The arrested persons were identified as gang kingpin Rohit Kumar alias Vishal son of Suresh Yadav of Amawathokar under BodhGaya police station, Pawan Kumar son of late Kamlesh Yadav of Mudera within the limits of Konch police station in Gaya, Nagendra Kumar alias Subham Kumar alias Mukund Kumar son of Devendra Kumar Yadav of Chhotki Cherki under Sherghati police station and Dharmendra Kumar son of Jitendra Prasad of Ghugharitard area under Vishnupad police station in Gaya.
During questioning, they revealed that their gang had stolen vehicles from different parts of district. Some one would follow the motorcycle owner and other would use a master key to steal the vehicle, while the other two maintained a vigil,” said SSP.
Based on the information revealed by the two suspects, other stolen motorcycles and Auto were recovered by the police. Police also recovered 7no of mobiles, lock breaker, 3 no of Adhaar card and three fake number plates from their possession.
The SSP Harpreet Kaur said, “A secret information regarding movements of these desperate thieves was received. Immediately police swung into action and the two gang members were located in Hindalay field area within limits of Delha PS. Police team raided the area and successfully apprehended both the accused along with the stolen motorcycle.”
During further investigation,other stolen motorcycles along with master key and other items were recovered at their instance.
