    Doctor and his associates held for sale of newborns and raped a woman in Gaya's Dobhi

    GAYA(Bihar): Two doctors, who were detained on Saturday for their alleged involvement in the sale of newborn babies and raped a woman, were arrested by the Mahila police in- charge Ravi Ranjana and Dobhi PS in charge Ajay Kumar on Saturday.


    Doctor ran a unregistered Ashtha general surgical and maternity hospital near Vakilganj village on Dobhi- Gaya road within  the jurisdiction of Gaya district, said SSP Harpreet Kaur. 


    A team under led by Ravi Ranjana SHO of Mahila PS and Dobhi police raided first the nursing home then Chatra mor on Friday  night and arrested within 24 hours under the joint aegis of Dobhi police and Mahila police station here on Saturday. 

     

    The arrested culprits have been identified as Dr Sharwan Kumar and Dr Ranvijay Singh Yadav, who were belonging to Aurangabad district, added SSP.

     

    Senior superintendent of police Harpreet  Kaur said arrested culprits confessed to have used to do the work of buying and saving newborns under the guise of nursing home, both of them have also accepted these things themselves and having sold earlier newborn babies for a lakh each in the last several months.

     

    Police are examining several documents seized from Ashtha's nursing hospital. "We are also questioning the staff working at the hospital, "Ravi Ranjana, SHO Mahila PS said.


    While talking to the media persons SSP Harpreet Kaur said that misbehavior with a woman who went to buy a child from the unregistered Aastha Nursing Home, located in Vakilganj,on Dobhi- Gaya road within  limits of same police station area of ​​Gaya district of Bihar.


    She said that on the statement of the victim, an FIR was lodged against the doctor at Dobhi police station. In which it was told that on November 3, the woman had come to the said nursing home to buy a newborn baby, where Rs 4000 was taken from that woman as advance.  


    Unfortunate in same sequence, the doctor gave an injection of anesthesia to the woman, due to which she remained unconscious for the whole night. During this time both of doctors also committed rape, added SSP. 

    "The news was coming that the woman who said that her newborn twins baby had stolen was absolutely wrong, she was not delivered any baby in the nursing home. While it was cleared after medical examination of this woman has been done, in which it has come to the fore that the woman was never proud, so there is no question of child being stolen", added SSP. 

    Here, the SSP said that the matter of child theft is wrong, the woman was not pregnant, this information was received from the doctor after conducting the medical examination of the woman.
