    Diwali 2022: Ban on fireworks to green crackers, here are some restrictions across Gaya district.

    GAYA(Bihar): Under the chairmanship of District Magistrate Gaya, Dr. Thyagarajan SM and Senior Superintendent of Police Harpreet Kaur, to consider other important points including administrative system, law and order, traffic system, prohibition on the manufacture, sale and use of firecrackers on Diwali and Chhath festival. In same sequence the meeting was organized in the Collectorate Hall here on Friday.

     

    While congratulating and wishing the residents of the district on Diwali and Chhath festival, the DM and SSP appealed not to leave only green firecrackers during Deepawali from 8 to 10 pm.

    In the meeting, the District Officer, in view of Chhath festival, directed the Executive Engineer BUDCO to stop the work of road cutting and pipe laying till Chhath festival.  Along with this, he directed the Executive Engineer (RCD) to speedily repair the road under GB Road, Koiribari, Nadraganj and Narayani Bridge of Bypass by giving priority so that Chhath Vratis do not face any kind of problem.  

    He gave clear instructions to the Executive Engineer of BUDCO to issue transfer letter to RCD for repairing the concerned roads today.

    In same meeting, the Dr Tayagrajan  SM directed that the same system would be applicable in Diwali and Chhath as there was arrangement in Durga Puja.  He said that no idol would be placed in public places without a license, it should be ensured by all the station in-charges and the route line, date and time of immersion of idols should be made a list after obtaining the station in-charge from all the organizing committees, so that all the idols  The eyes can be kept during the immersion.

    In light of the directions given by the NGT on the occasion of Deepawali, only green firecrackers are allowed to be used.  The manufacture, sale, storage of illegal firecrackers has been completely banned in all areas of the district.  

    The DM directed all the SDMs and police stations to conduct intensive raids on illegal firecracker manufacturing, storage and sale in their area.  Along with this, all the SHOs should provide a certificate that there is no illegal firecrackers being stocked or sold in their respective areas.

    In the meeting, the Superintendent of Anugrah Narayan Magadh Medical Hospital and Civil Surgeon were instructed to make proper arrangements for the treatment of burn injuries especially in primary health centers and Anugrah Narayan Magadh Medical Hospital.  He directed the Superintendent Anugrah Narayan Magadh Medical Hospital to reserve enough beds for the burn injury patients.

    In the meeting, Senior Superintendent of Police Harpreet Kaur said that the people concerned were requested not to install any kind of idol without license, to provide the date time and route line for idol immersion to their police station.  On the occasion of Deepawali and Chhath in the district, only green crackers have been told about bursting, along with this the time is also fixed.

    She directed the Deputy Superintendent of Police, Traffic, to prepare a traffic plan for urban areas today and also directed to prepare a plan to avoid congestion at Tikari Road, Kirani Ghat etc. She also directed all the Police Heads, Deputy Superintendents of Police, Sub-Divisional Police Officers to ensure compliance of the relevant instructions by doing patrolling regularly.
