    Chief Minister inaugurated the auspicious arrival of Ganga water in Tetar reservoir of Gaya

    GAYA(Bihar): Chief Minister inaugurated Tetar reservoir of Gaya district by pressing the button of auspicious arrival of Ganga water, gave success to officers and engineers. Chief Minister Nitish Kumar today inspected Tetar reservoir under Ganga water supply scheme at Tetar in Gaya district.  Along with this, by pressing the button, he also inaugurated the arrival of Ganga water in Tetar reservoir.

     
    On the auspicious arrival of Ganga water in Tetar reservoir, the Chief Minister bowed down by offering flowers in the reservoir and expressed happiness by clapping.  The people present there also expressed happiness by clapping on the auspicious arrival of Gangajal in the reservoir.

     

    Chief Minister inaugurated the auspicious arrival of Ganga water in Tetar reservoir of Gaya.

    During the on-site inspection of Tetar Reservoir, the officials informed the Chief Minister about the various works carried out here under the Ganga Jal Supply Scheme.  The Chief Minister congratulated the officers and engineers for their efforts and success for the auspicious arrival of Ganga water in Tetar reservoir.
    The Chief Minister told the officials that now the Ganges water has reached here.
     
    Do the maintenance of the works being done under this scheme properly, whatever the need is, the state government will fulfill it. On this occasion, Water Resources Minister Sanjay Kumar Jha, Jehanabad MP Chandeshwar Prasad Chandravanshi and other public representatives, Principal Secretary to Chief Minister Deepak Kumar, Secretary of Water Resources Department Sanjay Kumar Agrawal, Commissioner of Magadh Division Mayank Barbare, Magadh Region  Inspector General of Police Vinay Kumar, District Magistrate of Gaya Shri Tyagarajan SM, Senior Superintendent of Police, Gaya Smt. Harpreet Kaur, Engineer-in-Chief Irrigation Shri Ishwar Chandra Thakur and other officials and engineers were present.


    Addressing the journalists after the program, the Chief Minister said that we had decided that Gangajal would be sent to Gaya, Bodh Gaya, Nawada and Rajgir.  The water of river Ganga for Gaya and Bodh Gaya will be stored here for years.  From here the water went and would be sent to Bodh Gaya.  We came here to inspect it.  We want that all the work should be completed fast so that people start getting Gangajal at these places.  It is a matter of great pleasure.


    Bihar has both Gayaji and Gangaji.  Now Gangaji has come here for Gaya ji.  This is not a simple matter.  The water of river Ganga is reaching Gayaji, it is a big deal.  He said that we will bring the water of river Ganga here for four months, for the remaining eight months the Ganga water will be stored here.  

    All this is being done so that the people of Gaya, Bodh Gaya, Nawada and Rajgir can get the water of river Ganga.  Earlier there was water problem in Gaya.  We came here in the year 2006 when we came to know that people are facing water problem.  In view of this, we decided to work on the plan to provide Gangajal.
