    CUSB's Electoral Literacy Club conducts awareness campaign at Fatehpur village

    GAYA(Bihar): With the aim of making common people aware of the Indian electoral system and its importance, the Electoral Literacy Club of Central University of South Bihar (CUSB) conducted an awareness campaign at the neighbouring Fatehpur village. 


    CUSB Public Relation Officer (PRO) Md. Mudassir Alam said that this campaign was carried out under the "Campus for Community" campaign of Vice- Chancellor Prof. Kameshwar Nath Singh. The event was conducted under the supervision of Dean Student Welfare (DSW) Prof. Pawan Kumar Mishra by the Convener of Electoral Literacy Club Dr. Ravi Suryavanshi (Assistant Professor, Media), and students of the Law Department.

     

    Giving detailed information, DSW Prof. Pawan Kumar Mishra said that realizing the importance of the campaign run by CUSB the residents of Fatehpur village as well as the students of Middle School, Fatehpur along with their teachers also participated. He said that in this awareness campaign, students of CUSB made people aware about the importance of elections with the help of street-drama.


     
    The theme of the play was "Election Bugle" through which the students of the university talked about the voting rights with their attractive performance. The street play conveyed the importance of election and also made the people aware about their voting rights. A team of CUSB also visited the houses of the village door-to-door to make the women aware about the election and its importance.

     
    Coordinator Dr. Ravi praised the students for putting their efforts into making the programme successful. He said that this was the first step of the club towards election related awareness and in the coming days too, the club will organize such awareness programs.
