    CUSB organises ‘Genesis’ in memory of “Missile Man’ Dr. A. P. J. Abdul Kalam

    GAYA(Bihar): To commemorate the 91st birth anniversary of former President of India, great scientist and renowned as ‘Missile Man’, Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam the Central University of South Bihar (CUSB) organised various programmes. Public Relation Officer (PRO) Md. Mudassir Alam said that under the guidance of CUSB Vice Chancellor Prof. Kameshwar Nath Singh, the Institute Innovation Council (IIC) of the University organized 'Genesis' program as a part of celebration of the "National Innovation Day” in memory of Dr. Kalam.  


    The 'Genesis' program was organized at the University's Open Air Theatre under the supervision of IIC President Prof. Venktesh Singh in association with Program Coordinator Ms. Renu (Assistant Prof., Department of Commerce) and other members of the IIC. On this occasion IIC Program Convenor Prof. Umesh Singh, Dean Students Welfare Prof. Pawan Kumar Mishra, teachers and students of various departments were present.

    The program was first inaugurated by offering flowers to the picture of Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam and lighting the lamp. The welcome address was given by Program Coordinator Prof. Umesh Singh in which he told that this program dedicated to the former President has been organized with the aim of promoting innovation through which students can bring their innovative ideas (progressive ideas) on the world stage. Further presiding the program Prof. Venktesh Singh said that this program is organised as a part of the IIC calendar activity for promoting the talent of students.

     

    Prof. Pawan Kumar Mishra, Dean Students Welfare said that innovation can be started anywhere, anytime. At the end, while giving the vote of thanks, Renu said that this program is for the student and is dedicated to the student by the student for the student. Sheelu Sinha, a student of commerce department presented the account of life of Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam said that we should be as talented as him. Nirosha Fernandes conducted the stage in the closing ceremony.

     

    Speech competition and art exhibition were organized for the students under the 'Genesis' programme. The participants were judged by the bench of three judges, Prof. Durgvijay Singh (Department of Biotechnology), Prof. By Brajesh Kumar (Commerce Department) and Dr. Mitanjali Sahu (Education Department). The winner in the speech competition was Trishi Sharma (Chemistry Department) while Prasoon Ojha (BA LLB) got second position and Shreya Srivastava (BA LLB) got third position. First place in the art exhibition was held by Prashant Kumar (Commerce Department), second place by Anubhuti Soumya and team and third place went to Ujjwal Kumar of the Education Department.
