As soon as the news of vandalizing the idols of deities by more than a dozen anti-social elements in Panchdev Dham within Mufassil police station area in Gaya city.
As on instruction of SSP Harpreet Kaur many top officials including Gaya's ASP Manish Kumar, Sadar SDO Inderveer Kumar, DSP PK Sahu, CO along with police of many police stations reached the spot with technical cell team and dog squad. In order to ensure that the communal atmosphere does not deteriorate, a large number of female and male police forces have been deployed there.
Gaya's Senior Superintendent of Police Harpreet Kaur said that some anti-social elements, including some land mafia people, have carried out this incident, which is quite condemnable and attempts were made to spoil the social harmony, it is never tolerable in any condition. Police will soon get to the bottom of it and soon everyone will be arrested.
At present situation, Adl SP Manish Kumar, who was present on the spot, is refusing to say anything. He said that it is too early to say anything until the surrounding CCTV, technical team and dog squad reach a conclusion. He said that soon we will get to the bottom of this incident.
According to the information received from ASP Manish Kumar, there is no trace of the priest there since late evening, but soon the priest will be recovered. FIR has been lodged and investigation is going on, magistrate and police force have been deployed near the temple.
While Began Vishwakarma, the founding member of Panchdev Dham located on the banks of Falgu, told that during the early morning walk, the local people told that the idols of Mother Durga, Bajrangbali, Vishwakarma God, Shivling and many other gods and goddesses installed in Panchdev Dham are completely seen to be damaged.
The incident was immediately reported to the top police and administrative officials of Gaya.
Soon after getting the information, the administrative and police officials reached the spot and started an investigation. Vishwakarma told that even 3 years ago, violent incidents were carried out during the encroachment by land mafia around the same temple.
