Amity University Jharkhand hosted a Guest Lecture on Intellectual Property Rights Awareness
Ranchi: Amity School of Engineering & Technology, Department of ECE and CSE, Amity University Jharkhand, with the blessings of their Founder President Dr. Ashok K. Chauhan and Dr. Atul Chauhan, Chancellor, Amity University Jharkhand organized a webinar on the Topic 'Awareness Program on Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) under National Intellectual Property Rights Awareness Mission (NIPAM) 2.0, Govt. of India' on 26th October 2022 in online mode.U. Ramachandran, Senior Vice-President and Gauravh Gupta, Vice-President, Amity Education Group congratulated the students, faculty members and staff for hosting the event successfully.
The webinar was focused to spread awareness on intellectual property right so that a more conducive environment of innovation and creativity is established in the country and to ignite and inspire students, faculty members to innovate and protect their creations.
Guest speaker, Preeti Meena, NIPAM officer, Patents and Design, Group 'A' Gazette Officer stated that the initiative of IP awareness program was started by the Government to create awareness among the students and faculty members.
She spoke about the significance of Intellectual Property Rights (IPR), stated the six types of IP Rights which are Patent, Design, Trademark, Copyright, Geographical Indication (GI) and Semiconductor Integrated Circuits Layout Design (SICLD).
Dr. Ashok K. Srivastava, Pro Vice-Chancellor, Amity University Jharkhand shared his good wishes for organizing such a relevant and important event covering Intellectual Property in detail.
The event was witnessed by Prof. Dr. Ajit Kr. Pandey, Dean (Academics), Dr. S. A. Pandey, Director Law, Dr. Vikas Mishra, Director, Engineering and Applied Sciences, Senior members and dignitaries from head office Noida and Prabhakar Tripathi, Registrar of the university
Lastly, queries were taken up at the end of the session. The webinar ended at a successful note wherein all the participants were ignited and motivated to protect their creations.
