Women played vermilion Holi at Chandershekhar Azad Hall, Marshalling Yard, Gaya

 
GAYA(Bihar): The festival of Durga Puja was celebrated with great pomp in the Chandershekhar Azad Hall of Gaya, the land of salvation. On the occasion of Vijayadashami, the devotees had darshan of the mother by placing a mirror in the hall in the middle of the water in the morning before the mirror immersion of Durga. At the same time, the faithful Shyama Kumari and Juhi Sharma wiped the mother with clean clothes and also applied vermilion to her wearing a red sari.
After the same sequence, hundreds of women who came from around played Holi with each other. On the other hand, around three o'clock in the afternoon, the idols of Goddess Durga, Saraswati, Ganesh, Lakshmi and Kartik were taken to Baitarni Talab for immersion.
Here Chief Pandit Uttam Kumar Chakraborty immersed the idol after offering prayers. Meanwhile, hundreds of devotees present in the number made announcements like Mother, you come soon next year. At around five in the evening, the team that left from Chandershekhar Azad Hall reached back to the place of worship.
Pramod Kumar Singh, secretary of Chandrashekhar Azad Hall puja committee, said that the priest gave to the devotees the sprinkling of peace water brought after the idol immersion in the Chandarshekhar Hall at 7.30 pm.
Apart from this, Tilak of Havan done on Navami was also offered to the devotees, while flowers were also distributed to the devotees. All the members of the Puja committee were present on this occasion.
