Police recover 213 cartons of illegal liquor from Gaya's Belhatti govt middle school

 
GAYA(Bihar): Police in Gaya's Muffsil recovered 213 cartons of illegal liquor stored in a government middle school in Belhatti area at Gaya district on the interval between October 22 and 23. As per the inputs received by Gaya's SSP Harpreet Kaur, the incident took place in Government middle school located in Belhatti of Muffasil police station area of ​​the district.

The liquor mafia broke the lock of the school room to keep the liquor. They then used their own lock so that no one could open it. Meanwhile, after getting an information by the SSP Gaya in the morning and found that the school room was being used to store liquor.

Soon police reached the spot and recovered a total of 213 cartons from the classroom. "Based on the information, the school was locked here. The liquor traders broke the lock and stored the liquor. Further investigation in the matter is underway, SSP Harpreet Kaur said

Harpreet Kaur, Senior Superintendent of Police, Gaya, told that the entire bottle of liquor was about 213 cartoons containing 10,224 bottles having 1840 liters, which were kept hidden inside a straw inside a school room.

Gaya SSP  Harpreet Kaur said the law would take its own course. “It is now up to the police to find out the truth and act in accordance with the law. I have directed the officer in-charge to look into the circumstances under which the liquor reached the school. I have asked him to ensure regular inspection of the class room as well as storerooms of schools,” the SSP added.

The SSP has also directed the police station concerned to club all the complaints received in connection with liquor smuggling from the school and build up a strong case against all the unnamed in the FIR.

“The police have swung into action to gather evidences against the accused before initiating further action,”she said.
